Imagine the world being a kinder place? It can happen. It starts with you!
Today is Random Acts of Kindness day. Try one of these great ideas to help spread cheer to others.
1. Post inspirational sticky notes all around.
Grab a stack of sticky notes and spend five minutes writing positive statements on them. Then place the sticky notes anywhere that needs a little kindness; your office, a bus stop, a gas pump, a parked car, a hallway, or hidden around your home.
2. Reminisce
Memories can re-create special moments. Reach out to an old friend and reminisce about a time you both share together. Let someone know you miss them.
3. Compliment the first three people you talk to today.
Life can be overwhelming. Sometimes the kind word of a stranger is all it takes to turn someone's day around.
4. Leave a surprise for the mail carrier.
No matter the obstacles, our mail carriers are out there delivering our mail day in and day out. Leave them a small treat to let them know how much you appreciate them. Even just a simple note and a bottle of water could brighten their day.
5. Leave a generous tip.
Even if your service was less than best, spread your kindness through generosity.
6. Text someone you haven't talked to in a while.
It's a wonderful feeling to know someone is thinking about you. Text someone you care about to say that you are thinking about them. You will kick start their day or make sure it ends on the right note.
7. Bake someone a cake.
We've never known a person that isn't happy to see cake! Mmmm....cake.
8. Leave quarters on the vending machine.

Collect some quarters and put them in a plastic bag with a note that says "this one's on me" and tape it to a vending machine.
9. Gift an inspirational book.
Have you ever read a book that changed the way you see the world? Give someone you care about the inspiration to see things differently.
10. Be spontaneous.
Sometimes random acts of kindness just come to you in the moment.
